My trailer door came with a Bargman L-200 and half Chesler T-5 mashup that had the original interior handle broken off. I decided to try and make one out of hardwood Ash leftover from making my countertops. After many attempts, I ended up with one good handle that fits well onto the old lock. Sanded… Continue reading carving a new door handle

empty and ready for some subfloor work
Finally able to get going on the trailer again! Been a long break and I am so excited to start working. I recently removed all of the windows which I am in the process of restoring with a wire brush attachment and vinegar. Today I removed the rest of the old visible plumbing, scraped the… Continue reading empty and ready for some subfloor work
Day 7: revealing the subfloor
Now that all of the wall panels are removed, we can access the screws holding the subfloor to the frame. Day 1: start the tear down
This day got going fast with removal of cabinet doors! I also removed most of the original furnishings such as the table, fan, thermometer, corner shelves, lighting fixtures, and radio. We took out the solar batteries, inverter, and the horribly rotted out shelves that held them. We got so much done that we moved on to… Continue reading Day 1: start the tear down
